About us

the Dioscuri Centre is established at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague as a prestigious initiative by the Max Planck Society, leveraging world-class facilities and interdisciplinary expertise. Led by Dr. Barbora Špačková, the Centre is an emerging hub of cutting-edge, multidisciplinary research, focusing on developing a unique life science toolbox with applications spanning biochemistry, biophysics, and medicine.

Our team is advancing Nanofluidic Scattering Microscopy (NSM) – a groundbreaking label-free single-molecule method. NSM is designed to overcome current microscopy limitations, opening unprecedented avenues for exploring life at the nanoscale.
